My mom has a huge farm where she grows lots of fruits and vegetables. The orchard has a variety of fruit giving trees like mangoe, litchi, jackfruit, banana, mulberry, almond, chikoo, tomato, guava etc etc. It’s summers and the farm is flooding with mangoes all over. There is a huge variety of mangoes there…the best one and my most favorite one is LANGDAA ( a variety of mango found in India). My family is a mango lover in all means. We know how to utilize mango from it’s raw version till it ripens. The season of enjoying mangoes begin from the very first stage when the mangoes are small and tiny ones known as Kachchi Kairi. We use mangoes in ripe and unripe conditions and both are well-known for its medicinal properties. Unripe mangoes can be kept at room temperature for few days, and to ripen, keep them in paper covers. Ripen ones should be stored in the refrigerator. Bring back to normal temperature when the fruit is to be eaten to get the natural taste and flavour.
While going through an article on internet i came across many medicinal properties of mangoes, both raw and ripe.
The raw mango is generally green in colour, though the ripe variety is available in a number of colours including yellow, orange, red or purple. The centre of the fruit has a single seed, which is oblong and flat.
